Personal
Thomas was born and raised in Sarasota, FL where many different people invested in him and mentored him while growing up. This generous mentorship mindset was ingrained in him and now helping people is his passion. He now resides in St Petersburg with his wife, Natalie, and dog, Lilly.
Friends and family started coming to Thomas as someone they trusted to help with their finances and investments. Seeing a void of trusted financial advice, Thomas founded Rise Financial Partners to help people navigate the complexities of growing and protecting family wealth. Previous to founding Rise Financial Partners, he spent seven years at a global investment firm where he educated financial advisors and institutional investors how to build better investment portfolios.
During this time, Thomas developed extensive knowledge of complex investments, wealth management, and charitable giving. He has helped raise over $400M in investment for private investment strategies. Thomas frequently provides insights to other financial advisors and has been quoted by industry publications and interviewed by InvestmentNews, MarketWatch, Axiom Strategic Consulting, and USA News Group. He remains active with his alma mater, University of Central Florida, and was invited to speak at University of Central Florida’s Business School. Thomas is a member of several financial professional networks dedicated to sharing best practices and providing the highest level of service to their clients, including: the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), Fee-Only Network, and XY Planning Network.
In his free time, Thomas enjoys golfing, eating at his favorite restaurant El Toro Bravo (where he worked in high school), traveling to new places, and volunteering in his community. Thomas’ volunteer work includes being the Treasurer of Avenue941, Board Member of Gatekeepers Christian Networking, and is the Chairman of the Community Advisory Board for ManaSota Christian Community Foundation. He is not afraid to roll up his sleeves to help a neighbor, friend, or a random person on the sidewalk.
Thomas is active within his church community. He was responsible for the development and leadership of his church’s security team, and has been leading Bible studies since 2005. Thomas has served on four 10-day missions trips to the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Peru (2x) in order to help communities with education, health, and construction initiatives.
Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Central Florida. He has passed FINRA's Series 7, 63, and 66 exams and is a candidate for Level II of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
